PEMA

PEMA — small collections around, practices of attention, myth and stillness.

For centuries, human life has moved in relation to quiet, enduring rhythms: the moon, fire, silence, the turning of the seasons.

Pema begins among these rhythms, and with two meanings: love and tree. One reaches toward another; the other reaches into the earth. Together, they suggest a philosophy of attention — of loving through noticing, tending, returning, and allowing things to grow in their own time.

Pema gathers small expressions of this practice through myth, silence, words, sound, objects and handmade offerings.

Collection currently taking shape.

“What is the meaning of life? That was all- a simple question; one that tended to close in on one with years, the great revelation had never come. The great revelation perhaps never did come. Instead, there were little daily miracles, illuminations, matches struck unexpectedly in the dark; here was one.”
